Sorry…

Matt Dalby:

Stepping outside the neutral collective voice of ‘Counting Backwards Editors’ for a moment I’d like to apologise for the lack of updates here over the last couple of months, and the uncoordinated promotional efforts.

In particular I’d like to apologise to the artists who performed at Counting Backwards 2 (Blood Stereo, Becky Cremin, and Jennifer McDonald & Louise Woodcock) for the failure to post photos and reviews of what was a massively successful and well-received night; to the artists who performed at last night’s Counting Backwards 3 (Mick Beck, Stephen Emmerson, and Sonic Pleasure) for inadequately trailing them; to my co-organisers Richard Barrett and Gary Fisher for not being on the ball; and for anyone frustrated by the lack of information.

I take personal responsibility for these failings and hope they won’t be repeated. I am currently attempting to find a way of being more disciplined about updating the site.

Photos from Counting Backwards 2 will be posted today along with audio from last night’s Counting Backwards 3.

Thanks to Mick, Stephen and Marie-Angelique (Sonic Pleasure) for producing such fantastic performances, to Richard and Gary for making the night run so smoothly, and to everyone who attended for making it such a brilliant night.

See you in December.
